So, here's my new ritual.
4 times per day, I resistance train both hands for (10) minutes with one of those spring devices.
40 minutes total time on the left hand and 40 minutes total time on the right hand.
Then, twice a day, I spend (30) minutes practicing Yngwie runs to a metronome.
Then, I just walk around the house with YelloStrat slung over my shoulder (unplugged) and play repetitive single string runs designed to coordinate and synchronize my left and right hands.
To me, it seems that walking and practicing really has a deeper impact than sitting and practicing.
To keep my musical vocabulary sharp, I spend the first two hours of my day playing Bad Dog's old setlist so I stay sharp on the songs that No Surrender will be playing on July 24th.
This is done through headphones in the early morning while everyone else is still asleep.
What amazes me the most is now that I'm structuring my practice, I seem to have more free time than before!!!
