I use 330k for my bridge volume on my HB guitars, but they can sometimes be too dark. I don't like 500k volume pots on my bridge pickups, they have a harshness and brightness to them that my ears don't like. Why don't they make a 400k or 425k pot for guitars? I think they would be perfect.
I know you can add a resister in parallel to lower the value of a 500k pot, but it doesn't sound right and it screws with the taper. I just wish there were more options.
