Whats Your Song Of The Day.

My best friend of 50+ years passed away on Friday. We used to play this song more times than I can recall. I miss you my brother. I truly do Wish You Were Here.

Sorry for your loss @Far Rider . I have one of those friendships as well. Since 5th-6th grade. We're closing in on 60 years. Good friends are a gift. Cherish the memories.

My condolances as well.

I was sitting in a restraunt with my elderly father eating a meal. This song was in the background, and I was thinking how this will probably be the last meal I have with him before he passes. And it was. Goodbye Dad, I miss you. Wish we could have talked more. This song will always be special to me.

Way back. 2005...... Spring semester his senior year in college. My youngest filled in at bass as the regular bass player was seriously tied up with graduate work. He remembers playing two or three shows with them. Generally in bars. Even recorded one song with them for a CD. This song named "Build" is what they would play for sound check. We were at this show, Myself and my Bride. Eldest son and his wife. My youngest kids girl friend, whom he later married and had two kids. Take note, before they started playing you will hear one of his "friends" yell "Ringle sucks!!" He laughed and showed great restraint by not flipping him off. Not that it matters in 2026, but the bands name was The Pitch. Another University of Illinois band. Just didn't get famous like REO or Head East.

Side note: While I stayed in the back so I could take in the entire band, everyone else was up front in the Mosh Pit. Yes.....Mama was headbanging in the Mosh Pit.
