does it have a phone-friendly app?

I really love KLOS but it doesn't broadcast outside the US.

WMBR 88.1FM from M.I.T. in Cambridge, MA. You can stream live, listen to archived shows, and download an app. You can listen world wide. I do when traveling abroad.

WMBR 88.1 FM at MIT

There are several other really good stations here in the Boston area.

WZBC 90.3 FM Boston College
WMFO 91.5 FM Tufts University
WUMB 91.9 FM UMass Boston
WERS 88.9 FM Emerson College
WUML 91.5 FM UMass Lowell
WMWM 91.7 FM Salem State Univ.

When I'm traveling, I tune into these.

WFUV 90.7 Fordham University New York City
WMSE 91.7 Milwaukee School of Engineering
KZSC 88.1 University of California Santa Cruz

They all have websites for streaming. Probably apps too.

was WMMS -- THE BUZZARD in NE OHIO--

now
I cant name a single station in my area----- dont listen to radio

KFMF Muscatine Iowa. Local FM station when I lived in western Illinois. Closed shop several years ago and recently reopened as a streaming internet radio station. Just Google KFMH pirate radio. They play good ole rock. Blues. Jazz. They cost me a lot of money back in the day. They don’t play Top 40 stuff. Lots of “B” side songs. Good stuff. Then I’d have to go buy the album.

T105 WTUE Dayton back in the early to late 70's. I NEVER listen to the radio these days...out here in SoCal the stations from Mexico wipe out the dial and I'm just not into Salsa or Traditional Mexican music...

...and the best Record Store / Headshop in Dayton! A MUST Listen! Catch the line "and Pot Holders for the Home."
