We got a couple of $25 gift cards but the wife and I did not exchange gifts.
I got $5k of kitchen cabinets being delivered on Jan 3, so that is our gift.

My first go at a whole kitchen job; but I have enough Jackass of All Trades experience to get through most of it.

The only thing I am leery of is stripping off the old and installing new backsplash tile.

After the cabinets will be the kitchen floor with a Pergo style laminate type deal.
 
A couple of years ago the doctors discovered a thyroid nodule in my wife's neck. She has been getting an ultrasound and biopsy twice a year for a while now. In October the ultrasound found a large growth that had not been present before. They took a biopsy then, although it came back benign, they wanted to remove her thyroid. some of you may know that the thyroid is what controls your immune system and had they removed it, she would have had to take medication for the rest of her life. When they did the ultrasound yesterday, the growth was gone! 100% gone!!! Merry Christmas to us!!!

Well they are going to see at the shop tomorrow to try and contact their distributor. Because of the Holidays some of the businesses are closed down, so we will have to see. Hope they have one in stock, if they do it will probably be a couple of weeks before I get it. Yes I know I could have ordered it online and have it by next week, but I like to buy from my local guys, it keeps them working and they are always there for me. Plus if I have a problem with the unit they look after that, I don't have to pay shipping to get it back to them, and then try dealing with them , to me its worth the wait. I know from experience the troubles that can come from online shopping.
