What do you think

A police chief might be fired for riding in an unregistered golf cart? How crazy have things gotten in Florida?

As for letting a fellow officer know that she's law enforcement too, is that even unusual?
A cop has some discretion in whether or not to write up a minor technicality - it's a damn golf cart.

Not as if she was caught driving drunk and asked an officer under her command to let it slide.
The headline is clickbait, calculated to cash in on today's culture of triggered outrage.

an infraction around my area wouldn't have warranted a stop in the first place. But, that's a tough call. On the one hand, really? On the other, public officials should be walking what they are enforcing.

She'll move onto another precinct and move on with her life.

These situations are typical in that you do what you do, but just don't get caught. She got caught, that's it.

Right or wrong…….. and it is wrong for sure. Cops have been pulling the “show their get out of jail badge trick” for pretty much ever. A good question was raised. Would we even be reading and hearing about this in the news had that been a male cop? And the short answer is most likely, no we wouldn’t be.

Got to weed them out.

She should have had a patrolmans union “get out of jail free“ sticker on her Golf cart. Then the cop would have just walked away. Instead, it was a blatant abuse of power caught on film. Bye bye. I’d love to see a cop someday get written up for not following rules of the road, like not using turn signals or not stopping at stop signs and red lights. Especially when they turn on their blue lights to run a red light, and pull into the next Dunkin Donuts.

Have you ever noticed that no one ever writes a song that states "Fvck The Fire Department!" No, never. Only "Fvck the Police." There is a reason for this.

“A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”
You clipped it by mistake?

“A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people. However, if you distract the people with retail sales, events, and bread circuses, and make it so that they would actually have to come out of their air conditioned homes to make anything different then you are all good. You 'Go!' Mr. Tyrant. You 'Go!'”.
