I played last Sat. night's gig - a JAZZ - gig, mind you, other than a few overdriven moments - on the Jackson.

It's a great instrument. I had not used it in the last several weeks, I've been using the Variax, the 175, the old Kay archtop, and the Tel copy, and it needed a workout, but instead of hair metal or shredding, it was a lot of Miles Davis tunes and Christmas songs jazzed up. But the Jackson has a lovely dark tone on the neck pickup through a clean amp. So it works well for jazz.
