Welcome, Headache

Thanks!

I used to belong to the old dean forums. And we designed and had a custom run made for ourselves.
The blue water V is what it's called.
Mahogany, ebony board, no fret markers, V-profile neck we had 19 guys order.
Mine is#9, it's the number I chose.

I hated the nut, swapped in a graphtech. Upgraded pickups to reverse zebra Seymour Duncan SH-6B and 59n.

I don't play it very often just because it's so pretty ha ha, it's the only guitar I own that I treat that way. But it's always been special to me. Got it way back when I didn't have that kind of money for gear!

I've owned about 20 Dean's over the years, all great players, MLS, razorbacks, and a few V's. They've all come and gone though.

I think the new select series are as good looking as these though.

Yeah, mine is a select series. My buddy LRT has been playing it for like a year now lol....fine with me. I'm no Mike Batio, I can only play one guitar at a time lol
I want to say that @ibmorjamn has or had one of those as well, the blue water V...he told the same story, custom run from the Dean forum. That's super cool. I suppose you guys are probably familiar with each other then? He still posts at the MF once in a while, and he's a member here too, but I ain't seen him around here lately. Really pretty guitar!

Not a “V” fan for myself.... but that’s a really nice looking guitar.

And welcome to TTR. Don’t think anyone has mentioned newbie buys the first round.
