Welcome, Brian Krashpad

Did someone say "pictures of gear?"

I got you, man. Amp-wise, here is a photo taken in 2022:

All Amps Driveway 2022.jpg

I have all the above, minus the baby Vox (Valvetronix), and the MosValve. I've added a few more amps. One is a Lead 100 MOSFET Marshal 3210 head::

Another is this Fender Bassbreaker 18/30:

And this Peavey ValveKing VK212 (100W combo), which I will probably flip:

And I'll be selling my Crate BX200 bass head, having just obtained this Ampeg SVT 450 head:

I still have all of the above, but am in process of selling the white Epi LP Special. Have acquired a couple more.

This Chibson SG Junior:

And this Gibson Firebird Zero HH:

I did add a logo to the pickguard though:

That's all the electrics anyhow.

That’s a sweet selection man. Years ago a friend let me borrow his Ovation Breadwinner and he had to fight me for it back.

He won though, but I still think about it sometimes

Yo Brian,

I have a friend named Kevin Couchsurfer. He wants to meet you.
Haha, the name is from a band name, rather than any personal proclivity. I've had an old school punk rock band called Crash Pad since 1996. 20 years or so ago I was doing a local radio interview on a friend's show, and on the spur of the moment he introduced me as "Brian Crashpad," rather than "Brian from Crash Pad." My legal last name actually starts with a K, so I adopted that spelling so I could always use my initials, BK, no matter which persona I was in. Even though the band is spelled with a C.

Here's our third DIY album, have fun, play loud:

Ah yes, ol' Sonia!

That was my first really playable electric guitar. When I bought it it was slathered in house paint. You could actually see the brush strokes, haha. My late father stripped it for me and refinished it, I believe simply using lemon oil. It has a nice satin finish at this point. For the longest time it had no headstock markings, but 7 or 8 years back I finally got round to getting a replacement decal, which I think looks pretty authentic.

If only someone else could've come up with $67.60, the world might have been spared!

That’s interesting. Back around 06/07 when I decided it was time for my first electric. Because I had an Ovation acoustic, I was checking out the Ovation sold bodies. Some unique shapes there for sure.
