Welcome, BluesManRocker

Dig it!!! Thanks all. Here's something to go on in the mean time. My poor 800 is limping and trying to bust fuses, so Amp Md Scientist is helping me get it going again. I just realized, some of this crew is from the old EverythingSG forum, and from them, TWO of them are moderators here, and of those two, I've seen 100% of them playing out.

Special call out to SixString and GuitarWeasel!!! Six and I got back so far,, it can nearly be carbon dated. We used to work at the same RV plant in Indiana. He was like a code inspector, and I was the CAD guy, dong computer design work. GuitarWeasel, was playing at Chicago fest,, bear and blues was it,, something like that. What a great show. I even saw about 10 mins of George Thorogood, and there was an interesting spot recognition for a guy from Mott the Hoople was in the crowd. I can never say that band's name right. hehe Fun day, great performances all around.

Also, special thanks to AmpMadScientist for his mad excellent amp tech skills. AWESOME!!! I just got my amp working again, after it being off line for last 6 years or so. I have a new eminence Reignmaker 75 watt speaker, and some new power tubes coming. Sooo nice to have the tube amp back, but now it's time to make it function stable and correct bias and all that.

Never mind the yellow trucker tie down straps, that's just keeping the Fender cabinet from running away. hehe

He's a belt and suspenders type of guy.

Blues man Rocker I seem to remember you also being a member of the MF .
Glad you got your amp back on track..
Cheers
Mitch
Yes, I seem to recall someone checking in on me other there. Thanks for all that! AMS invited me here. Talk about an honor. He loves my taped up looking guitar rig. hehe He was like, are those amps taped together. LOL It's odd looking but effective!!! hehe I have plans for building 2 2x12's that combine into one 4x12.

My amp was a combo, and I would also like to make the amp a head using modest coverage and a wood foundation, so it's lighter, looks cool to see the tubes glowing, and more modular than a combo amp. Which is sooo heavy. Wow.

I already bought one 75 watt, 8 ohm, magnetic attenuating FDM speaker, the ReignMaker. So I just need something to quiet the volume, for my pair of 25 watt greenback clones. I had a nice reactive power attenuator with speaker emulation, started over at Marshall forums, but you had to walk on egg shells around the guy, so I got booted from his topic but he continued with on in PM, and I ended up telling him off for being so bigoted, so I basically lost that project  because of my disapproval of his false judgmental attitude :hide: toward others, as I am not an experienced electrician, although I am willing to learn.

We are all still learning.
Great to see ya over here, as you can tell it’s not as crazed as some of the other forums out there.
This is a cool place to call home.
Cheers

I wanted to help you finish repairing that amp.
We started it right?
We have to finish that puppy.
In the last episode, You were ordering the output tubes.

You said the phase inverter turned white.
Do you have another PI tube?

Yes, it's possible it was the PI tube, I can't remember for sure, maybe it was V2, but it had a crack in it, so that was probably destined to blow. Yes, my pair of Telefunkin power tubes are due to arrive tomorrow.

Here's a link to the quest.
