Welcome, AndyB

They sure got dated fast in the 70’s, I remember being at the Pomona fair grounds and Dewane and Gary Jones had a demo of the new Elsinore’s and they had always been on Yamaha’s before that.
Cheers
Remember Mark Barnett? Another Illinois boy. Was at a local track doing my thing in the “B” group and he was announced to be racing in the “A” group. Not saying he was good or anything…. But pretty sure he lapped the field in a 15-20 minute moto. He went on to sign with Suzuki as a factory racer and won a ton of races at the national level. Won a few championships in both 125 and 250 classes. That’s my name drop claim to fame.

Didn’t they nickname him the bomber ??

I had one of these in my late teens. Bought it at an auction sale for $50
All my friends had real dirt bikes and would leave me in the dust.

It was no fun at the time, but I wish I still had that yama

Welcome @AndyB

kick off your boots, make yourself comfortable. Sound's kind of like we wouldn't be here if not for you, thank you!

I had three Honda’s on the 70s. A 72 SL125 trail bike. The 74 125 Elsinore I raced. And a 74 550 street bike. Sorta wish I still had the two 125s. Not so much the 550.

Welcome to TTR, Mr. AndyB...

Love the beautiful pics. The video clip is fricking awesome... I watched it through my computer's super-wide monitor with some good volume! Everytime you where preparing for your jumps, I was trying to stand up in my desk seat, ha ha!!
