Had this up for another review and I got downvoted. I must suck balls at this singing thing and you're not telling me.

Aside from some obvious pitch spots and little things can you please tell me what is so bad? I really feel I need to know. Notice I say need not want.

I can’t normally abide the Creed stuff…just me, personally…I‘ts just not my thing, at all.
That said, the original vocals are pretty forcefully bellowed out, and thick. So…perhaps people are critical of your version for its lighter feel. Don’t make me go and listen to the original Creed version….oh shoot…alright, I’m back…I didn’t sit through the whole thing, but I’ll stick with what I said above. However, in the “on deck list”, I saw this….you sound more suited to this singer’s style than the Creed stuff.

Thanks, man. You're probably right. His vocals are very thick and baritone sounding to me. I don't know what I am but yes it's thinner for sure. I won't make you listen to Creed. Not my thing either. Believe it or not, I love that tune minus the CREED factor. Eww. There is something about them that is so not Rock-n-Roll. Don't know what the confrictor it is about them.

Don't look up "confrictor". I made it up. Lol

Thanks for the link, pal!

I don’t recognize the creed song, but your vocals are better suited to something more like,,, the things I put together, with a little attitude thrown in  .. your voice would work better with a more original type of music. And I think a Docken approach, seems to fit your range.

But what the hell do I know.
Cheers

Vocal inflections were good and you were on pitch for a large majority of the song. Like you said, there's some minor variations but nothing out of the ordinary. I think for me, it was the timing mostly. Seemed to be behind or ahead of the beats.

The vocals are 100% different than the original so it's going to be hard to get a good read when your voice is so different. If the vocals are going to be a stark contrast than the original, it's going to have to be angelic and perfect to pass.

Vocals are insanely difficult, which is why only my car steering wheel has ever heard my voice past 6th grade.

I am the type of person that cannot unhear something.
I think your vocals are good.
I just still hear the original in my head and your version, while still good, sounds off because I can’t unhear the original vocals.

Interesting, because you're not the first person to mention the timing issue. Having no real talent for singing and having to practice nearly all free hours of the day, people like me don't pick these things up automatically. If it was guitar I'd have razor-edge focus and comprehension of every element. Funny how things work. I swear I've never been through more of an uphill battle in my whole life regarding trying to "pick something up". Everything that seems intuitive to me turns out to be wrong with signing as I have no real knack to include my common sense on it successfully. Lol.

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate "your guys's" help!

Thanks fellas. I am polar opposite to that singer's voice I agree. I seem to learn every day now, and now I can direct the sound to my chin ...as I learned and it fattens it up significantly. I was shooting to more nasal, up, and that messed with the tone a lot thinning it. As you may already know, singing is f'n weird, the stuff that is done and "mental thoughts" that are used to trigger certain muscles and resonators to get certain sounds, comforts, tones, etc. Maybe I'll do another with some fat on it.

Your music aey Mitch? Maybe some Steven Pearcy scratch and screech? ✌️

Thanks, guys.

I'd say don't give up just yet. Like I said before, singing is a very difficult thing to do, and I wish I had the huevos to try it myself.
