Thought so. :)

The Unguided is a band stemming from Swedish Sonic Syndicate, and Unguided had two singers: one that sang clean voice and the other screamed. They had some youtube-hits with over 1 million views, so they were quite successful.
However, the clean singer and solo guitarist finally decided to leave because of his job, so the band asked my son to hop in for a tour in Europe. They were quite happy with him so he was later asked to be a permanent member on clean voice and solo guitar. And... here´s the first video:

perhaps you can ask--- as I have always wondered--- HOW THE HECK DO THOSE OTHER SINGERS SOUND LIKE THAT!? (the "dirty" or distorted singer) --- does he bloew out his vocal chords daily????
 
I have had the opportunity to listen to next release. That song is composed by my son, and it´s heavy rock n roll. Just wait. :)

It's really quite good!
 
I always love the music in these type bands, but never like the rough screaming voice.

Now THIS with the Clean voice is really Cool! I still don't dig the rough voice part, but the band is really good!

...and I take it the Clean voice is your son from the post...Fantastic!
 
I was not so happy about the scream voice either - I´m too old for that. ;)

BUT: when I saw a concert with the band in Weinheim in Germany, I understood the idea with the mix of clean and screaming voice. The clean voice started smooth and gentle with the verses but then it all speeded up, and suddenly the chorus came, loud with screaming voice. It was seriously great to hear it LIVE. Listening on a CD, don´t know...
 
Well, now there are some folks who complain at youtube that the new song above, Nighttaker, has no solo, so they believe that my son can´t shred.

So, he ripped off a solo for the coming song, Daybreaker, and his girlfriend filmed it, just to show them. Nice?
