Do you have some swivel head sockets?View attachment 102396
I hate header gaskets 9 bolts
3 on collector
6 on the header will have a whopping 3/4” of room if i am lucky
My day is going to be delightful !
Songs depend on the job. Easy peasy I go for the Hard Rock.... loud and proud. If the job really sucks and temper is flaring, I may go for the smooth jazz just to calm the nerves. The end bolts can stay in the gasket has flanges on ends to hang in place but yes my hands are crying for mercy
Going to make another Pot of Coffee
Get my 80’s -90’s hair metal on to get me motivated

It's going to take more than coffee. The end bolts can stay in im going to try an get as much room as possible so i figure i can maybe thread them in about 1/4 inch an hopefully it will let header hang the gasket has flanges on ends to hang in place but yes my hands are crying for mercy i think the old one will come out in pieces an not be much fun

Oh, yes you know all about the plug changes thenI had a 1977 Monza with a 305. No race car by any means. But fun. To change the two back spark plugs on the drivers side you had to take engine mounts loose and jack up the engine. Otherwise the plugs wouldn't clear the steering arm. Believe me. I tried. Could get the plugs unscrewed. They would not clear the arm not matter how I held my mouth.
I was just about to tell that story too...I had a 1977 Monza with a 305. No race car by any means. But fun. If you are lucky enough to own 1/4" drive impact sockets...peeking in on there, maybe 3/8 swivel, if it keeps slipping, chewing gum or back wards duck tape inside the socket lol just enough to hold it square to get it started if fingers cant manage
shoulda said 1/4," thats how i get my 1 tough one. All it has to do is defy gravity for a slit second to catch a thread lolIf you are lucky enough to own 1/4" drive impact sockets...
it helps to reach into that tiny little space where 3/8 won't fit too easily.
Oh fond memories.
This is where you wish for all those cool specialty tools from the snap-on / proto / mac tools truck.
No specialty tool was gonna help on the Monza. I could use one of those spark plug sockets that has the 5/8" hex on the end. I could get it on the spark plug. Use a combination wrench to get plug loose. Get socket off plug before it hit the steering arm. Screw the plug out by hand..... and the tip of the plug hit the arm while the electrode was still in the plug hole. Again no amount of wiggling plug or holding mouth appropriately would get that darn thing out.If you are lucky enough to own 1/4" drive impact sockets...

Do you know that mac tool guy who sells you the $239 socket set? Expensive as hell but works where nothing else does.
