It’s time for our second RiffMasters Main Event Vote!
How exciting is this?

Prior to voting, ALL MEMBERS OF TTR are URGED to check the wonderful and painstakingly catalogued (LOL!) selections shown,
or linked-to below. Please refresh your memory before voting, some entries came in weeks ago.

Going to take some time, but there's great listening to be had! I know the submitters will appreciate your carefully-considered choices.

During the next 48 hr. period, ALL TTR Members have NINE Folks To Give! You will cast those nine valuable votes blind. You will not be
able to see who voted for whom. You do not have to drop all nine, but once you vote, you cannot go back to vote again, or change a vote.
TO VOTE: Watch for Ballot Box Dick below! Directly above that sick pervert is the link to a fun new vote poll site.
You will need to enter your forum name/handle to vote but I think that is all. If you have issues PM me. Voting issues.

We are voting to decide on the best “Folk'd Up” entries.
Competitors were given five weeks "folk up" a rock tune, OR "rock up" a folk tune.

Your votes are your own, but... I trust all TTR members / competitors will judge responsibly.
I suggest preferred "RiffMastery" criteria should include your impressions of the following:

1. Musicality / Creativity
2. Song Choice / Presentation

3. General Entertainment Factor

I think I can speak for most who wouldn't much care for votes gained simply on forum "popularity" or "seniority."
Please judge the work, not the worker. Votes & points are a distraction from the Creative Musical Fellowship
goals of the game, in place only to spur our competitive spirit. We all win just by taking part, or cheering on.

Here's your super-fab choices in order of submission for Main Event Stage 2:

Down with the Sickness - C-Grin

Symphony of Destruction - TVvoodoo

If I Were A Carpenter - ClockworkMike

Fight For Your Right to Party - LiveeviL2000

That Woman is Driving Me To Drinkin' - SG John

Top Vote to be awarded 10 RiffMaster points. Second / Third place 7 points ea.
All other “Opening Act” submissions earn 5 participation points just by submitting.
In the event of a tied vote for any position, the earlier submission rules over the later.

Now YOU get to pass judgement on these twelve sweet musical selections submitted for our enjoyment!
A variety of tunes, folk songs rocked, rock songs folked. Even one original. Thank you to all brave enough
to submit. Hope you had fun! And I am glad to see nobody opted out of the vote!
Once this poll closes Saturday evening, points will be awarded and Main Event #3 will be revealed.

Please feel free comment below to discuss your votes, why and how, to keep this thread boosted
and active for the next couple days!

Yessir @JohnnyGoo though McGuire didn't actually write the song. It was a #1 for him in '65. Knocked "Help!" Out of that position. I did "modernize" the original lyrics for my own amusement, but the original words abd delivery remain more powerful on the whole, I think.
I had fun trying to ape a U2 vibe... never tried it before.... I tried to do a Bono voice several times but that was a big fail, so went with my own LOL!

I actually made a video for it... modern footage and news pics etc... too political in nature for this venue but if anyone wants the link I'll gladly PM it to ya!

Just over 4 hours remain for all Tone Rooms Members who have not already, or even some RiffMonsters who have not yet dropped votes for Main Event Stage Two.

Listen to the fun and creative musical selections made special for your enjoyment by your TTR brothers!

Then make your choices at the multiple choice polling website link found in the first post of this thread (just above Ballot Box Dick).

You'll figure it out. The more voters we can get in, the more accurate we can say the results may be!

Thank you in advance to all who take the precious time out of your Saturday
