I was perusing ebay and such for T Top pickups and came across a Les Paul KM that was made 10 guitars before mine that can be seen in my profile pic.

This one's serial ends in 059 and mine is 069. I doubt that anyone could find closer unless they went to Kalamazoo and got two of them at once on August 27, 1979.

Bought it last year from Japan, it's an 1991 Orville made in Terada Japan.
It has the exact same specs as my 1975
Gibson Standard except for the pups witch are" The Original " HB-R and HB-L from Bill Lawrence on the Orville.

I like the chainsaw cases too. My only gripe is they only have a small accessory compartment, no chance at all of fitting the 3" wide guitar strap in there. Cheers
HEY HEY Bro Ivan.

I am glad that I never had any guitars with a chainsaw case. After stupidly selling my original LP with the Purple Lined case. Much like Robert H. always never seemed to have any guitar measure up. I think that despite my quest to replace my original, none will never measure up. Even with a guitar costing the same, on up to 10- 20x what I paid for mine back in1983, I still don't think anything short of that exact broken in Black LP will suffice.

The chainsaw case? I like mine! It will take multiple loading and unloading without getting all ratted up.

Yeah, I hate the things. Have had two of them and I think they just suck. In both cases the top of the guitar's headstock touched the inside of the case, which to me is a big no-no. They are also unbearably ugly.

I sometimes put a strap in my gig bag but got an SKB heavy duty case so I can get a genuine Well-Hung strap in it with wireless pack etc. That way whenever I rotate LPs for shows, I take em in the SKB.
Generally.
