THis is what my G&L is going to receive

OK so I had a long day at the barn today, so its a late start on this project.
I have the beast apart. I have taken some pic so you can see the guts of a G&L.
I am NOT impressed with the wiring job. I will clean it up.
I have to rewire the tone circuit anyway, G&L has treble and bass controls, not standard tone. Not a biggie.

HHmmm I have heard that before.

OK, the wiring is complete, a new set of Ernie Ball slinky 10-46 with a wound G string.
All that is left is to tune it up and mount the new wall hook so it can hang next to the ES-335.
I will say this, those True Tone jacks are tighter that a virgin tweeter when you try to unplug your cord.

Observations.

G&L wiring is a bit sloppy
The components are not top shelf. Pots are Mighty Mite brand, and the output jack was a no name.
I will be changing the tuners also.

Fit and finish are superb.

I like my G&L for a Strat style Gitter.

Well I gotta say . . . . the blend pot was an excellent addition to the G&L. BUT . . . in the future it will be changed out.
I used an Audio taper when I should had used a linear taper.
Will change it when I change strings the next time, will put on new tuners at the same time also.
