So my white trash, meth addicted, skanky neighbors haven't had trash service in nearly 2-1/2 months. They haven't mowed their lawn in over 5 weeks. The trash you see here is absolutely putrified. Furthermore, we've called the city and reported them at least 4 times and they were supposed to begin fining them for it and removing the debris at the skank's cost. They've made 3 trips and all they've done is yell at them.

So two days ago, we noticed @$#!ing rats crawling behind their house and near my fence line. I don't mean mice, i mean RATS, like NYC Metro types. We called the city again and they don't want to do anything and I'll be damned to hell if my property is gonna get them. I figure at this point that place is crawling with roaches as well.

So, as interim solution, got this lil guy today:

Crosman Legacy 1000. 1000FPS .177 pellet rifle for a mere $54. Rats are gonna learn something today: I'll shred every damn one I see, since our city is too sorry to fix the problem.

Pathetic, living among the trash and filth when you try to take care of your own place.

Beeman is a good air rifle! Yeah im with ya there: the "tree rats" here get a pass, even though they shameless rob the bird feeders we set out lol. Ground rats however: its gonna be a bloodbath lol
 
Get Anatolian Shepherds and Cats -- Athena and the cats WORK TOGETHER -- caught her and Piccossa "splitting" a rat early Sat morning --- saw them rush across the yard....by the time I got out the back door "play time" was over .....and I had pieces to pick up with the shovel

OR another great option -- is a Rat Terrier (the name isnt because they look like a rat) ...... those little a-holes are fast as LIGHTING -- and chase em down in the holes!

Also geese -- (yep) will kill rats/mice ---

we are in the country -- we have critters-- critters make messes messes attract rats --- but-- we have an equally effective system pf Cats-- dogs and geese..... that hold that population in check .....

Yeah a good cat or dog would weed some of these nasty lil bastardos out! Used to have a few good cats growing up at my parents that were sheer hell against rats that wondered from the woods and took a few moles out too

Thats a badass air rifle! If i had seen one there i probably would've snagged it first. Yeah its been hell living beside these trash: honestly years of fighting with them. Cops never do anything about it despite the rap sheets they have ( its a revolving door of junkies that live there, honestly about 40 collectively in and out since 2011), including a convicted child molester that was out on parole and got busted for it again in December 2011. My wife Meg is the one who called the cops when she saw a young boy go in there with him. Hes back in for 15 yrs right now.

man that sucks. my next door neighbor is ok but his kids make a mess. awhile back i noticed about 8 pieces of trash from them in my yard, so i threw them back in his yard. he came out and said, "thanks man", and i told him to keep his effin trash in his effin yard and walked off. its getting to where you cant have anything nice because people want to screw it up.
and i cant do what i really wanna do because then i would go to prison.
just keep calling the city on your pos scumbag neighbors, and maybe get some of your other neighbors to do the same.....and i mean all the time.
they will get sick of all the calls eventually and do something.

true-- its cheaper to feed a bb gun though ;)
however the cats and dogs and geese work ....while I sleep ....so there ya go
and the big dogs work on the rats of the 2 legged variety too ........... I would say you could feed them your neighbors -- but sounds like they might make my dogs sick

Amen my friend! Sorry you deal with the same trashing up by an inconsiderate neighbor too. Im gonna keep on the city's til the either block my number or come clean the joint up.

Lol yeah your dogs would need to get treated for Hepatitis if they so much as licked at these class acts

Sad but true my friend! I actually grew up in this neighborhood, same street even. Bought my house here by complete chance years later. Nothing like it used to be. Used to be a really pretty neighborhood, neighbors were all great, everyone took care of their homes and looked out for one another.

But the old school neighbors have now either passed away or moved away and a new generation of slobs and degenerates just keep piling in. Property value here is in the toilet now and you couldnt bait a decent , good hearted neighbor in if you tried.
