it's especially crazy that they were all 18 and 19 when they recorded those first records with Arthur Alexander and Percy Sledge!! I would've given anything to be in their shoes at that time.

I think they were so "greasy" because they were NERVOUS AS HELL! --- wouldnt you be?!?!?!

Just check out from 44:06 to 45:24+ Wexler says a mouthful. Then at 46:49+ Rick Hall talking about going to Leonard Chess and walking out with Etta James basically. MAN what mojo Rick Hall had and cultivated.

Yep. Ironically this is about the point in the movie where I realized that I had seen this before. It's my fav part. Huge Allman Bros fan along with my dad, in fact, A Little Martha is one of the very first songs he ever taught me. My dad jammed with them once back in the 70s, he used to hang out in Macon GA a lot with his biker buddies... He wanted to name me Duane Jerome, but my mom thought it sounded like a black man's name. That's one of the highlights of his life. He has also jammed with J Geils band and some of the Skynyrd boys.

Glad he didn't want to name you Magic Dick
