The guitar jacket?

So I have been stymied trying to locate an item from my youth. I clearly remember seeing an item in guitar magazines in the 80's which I believe was called the guitar jacket. It basically was like a neoprene cover for the body of your guitar that still exposed the top but protected the back against buckle rash. If I remember correctly the ads were in Guitar Player and in black and white and had a dude with long straight blonde hair like Michael Schenker.

Does anyone remember those? Do they still exist? Did they work? What were they called?

This was like a form fitted sleeve or for a visual a spandex shower cap you would stretch around the back of the guitar. Haven't been able to find anything online but curious why it never took off.

UPDATE: I found it. It was called the AxeGlove! Or maybe the AxeGlove is a descendant of the Guitar Jacket.

EDIT: must be a descendant as the AxeGlove website promo video says they only started 5 years ago.
