I’ve played Horse With No Name. Been years… but my fingers/hand actually started cramping up just playing those two chords….. over and over and over and…..

No argument there Norm.

For me it's more about repeating the same two chords for 3 1/2 minutes. As much as I love "Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald" (and it is one of my favorites), I can play the thing in my sleep..... A-Em-G-D. Repeat for 6 1/2 minutes. No chorus.... no bridge.... no turn around. After three verses I get bored.
 
Yes I understand what you are saying Rick. I don't even think I play any songs with 2 chords come to think about it..
