Yes, I did. From a flat piece of steel. I cut it out on a bandsaw, ground it to shape, heat treated it and did all the finish grinding. I also formed the guard from a piece of brass and the handle is made from stag horn.

Very nice. I have been wanting to setup a forge and get into knife and sword making myself.
