The Best Birthday Ever

So, this time last year I was all excited over this B-Day present, which some of you may remember from the other forum:

But, this year I got something different. And, frankly, more precious. I didn't get a single package or ribbon or bow. Instead, I spent the afternoon with my wife, enjoying a very nice steak dinner. And, my second son drove up and we spent the evening together chatting about all sorts of stuff. (His degree is in Mechanical Engineering and he's almost done with his Master's degree...so it was a VERY geekish conversation!)

Good food and good times with family. My wife and all my children together.

Some things are better than a New Guitar Day.

That is something I do understand and don't take for granted. Happy Birthday smitty!

Thanks, dude. It is a nice SG and I do cherish it.

But, the kisses of a wife...and the hugs of sons and a daughter...make the allures of a guitar pale in comparison.
