Since my local shop is closed due to virus. Started looking online to Long& Mcwade they are a huge music store here all across the Country. I went to about 5 of their stores , man they have no stock D"Addario Nickel wound 10-46, so I went to eBay, wanted a 3 pack said they had 10 available, I only bought one as I don't want tp panic buy, I am sure there are other brothers out there will be needing some strings. Hoping those will stretch out for me until things get back more to normal.

I ordered a bunch of strings from Sweetwater when the local shops got closed down. I'll only play a set of string for 5-6 hours before changing them under normal conditions but I'll probably try to eek out more life from them under the circumstances. Maybe I'll just rotate guitars, but being home all day means I am playing a lot more than usual too.

I have a few packs of those D'Addario XL's in .010 - .046 and a few in NYXL in the same gauge as well Norm. If you have any more trouble, drop me a note & I'll send you a set.

6 hours...........interesting---

Ive had some for 3-4 years...........bass strings are just breaking in at a few years. ;)
Yeah. I’m not very good at changing strings either. I usually wait till they go thud when I pick them. Or maybe the wound strings are starting to come unwound. Or the tuner flips you off when you try and tune..... that one usually gets my attention.

They are dead after 5-6 hours. By then they've lost too much elasticity, have started to flat-spot and begun to corrode a little. Nice thing about strings is they are dirt cheap and easy to change, so I whack them off of the guitars as soon as they start to die.
