"SPRING" Full Album making thread

Still call em albums lol.

Well now its been 2 weeks since the big band "quit' shame no one wants to work a lil these days. Anyways, feel liberated cause now i can write with abandon & not to the people that will be playing with. Last Dec i commited to NIS which is code word for "nothing is set" it became, Our America real fast , ideas flowed. Drummer wanted to put band together so i wrote with idea of easily reproduced songs & tabbed it all out as i went. never again !

Now fast forward.. Sunday had that colorful vision. Since i dont have a band & need challenged..Going to do this

SPRING
SUMMER
FALL
WINTER

Write 4 full Albums , Record 8 songs in 2 months & then month break. Idea is to capture my emotion as the seasons change..maybe along the lines of the Title for a theme but going to just let it flow & oh yeah the election , lol i am sure it will bring out the heavies come Fall.

So, 6 songs for Spring are themed out already & here we go. Will do something a lil dif . Going to post capture mix & master way better & fully document gear & recording capture. Usually just record it & level it all. Almost 60, gotta see where i am at as a musician & challenge . Will be fun to see how the weather & seasons affect the mood & recording
 
Have The Drums & Rhythm tracked for first song. MXL DX2 on the cab & MXL r144 out using 3:1 ratio i learned. MIM strat randomly selecting pickup position into clean MIG 50- v30 cab, 144 is backwards in pic, almost forgot to take picture & slapped it back in place
BTW V30's are broken in now, Could of chucked them first month or so but when they give in a bit ,such a great speaker to record & make any amp sound great. Real easy to place in a mix. Doing bass next & the P will slide in right under the v30. Not much moving to do in Reaper with this part of recording. I spend maximum effort here, Recorded levels are pretty much where they will be in mix, I dont like anything on my guitars that often when using the room to capture what i want .This is the song basically , the motor of it. probably my strong point from always balancing practices over the years. Should quit here before i ruin it with vocals lmao

Thanks, I really only use the GAP 73 & JoeMeek 6q. Have JoeMeek vc3 q channel strip on the desk. They were the first things ever used into Reaper & have not really varied. Just learning to use them better by the song. My goal was simply to capture what i am hearing in the room & get it recorded.
