Speaker cab repurposing project

You may have seen the cab I have been using for my 18w chassis.
It is a subwoofer I built around 1991.
The subwoofer speaker rotted to bits long ago.
I have an Eminence GB128 in it, which will end up in it.
It will become 1 or 2 guitar speaker cabs.

It wont be store bought pretty, but it will be pretty cool, and functional

the yellow and black material is roofing insulation used as damping.
I will peel out the loose stuff and not sweat the rest.

Progress.
Back panel stock from a wall unit / entertainment center type deal.
I made the jack plate and the recessed the mounting area a bit.
Doesn't show well; oh well.



The cleats for the back panel; should have took pic before painting rear perimeter.
below the cleats is an existing internal brace.

I have some El Cheapo rubber feet inbound as well.


Need to clean up the grill, but its as is relic'd project.
