Sonny Boy Guitars is what I like to in my spare time. After work and weekends. My time is spent creating guitars from wood. I have access to local hardwoods and work the lumber down to tops, bodies and necks. I try and source local hardwood for my builds. Northern NY.
Right now I have some crazy ash burl waiting to air dry.
From the Adirondack Mountains to central NY I try and source the most unique pieces for tops and bodies.
But I do get the standard Honduran Mahogany slabs. Along with the exotic fretboard woods.
Do look forward to hand made builds. I primarily focus on the 2 classic G!Bsun solid bodies, but put my spin on the carve and sometimes they turn into semi Hollows.
Why?? Cause I've been playing long enough to know that $3000 for a cookie cutter classic ,can... sometimes leave you disappointed. I wanted a thick semi hollow SG with F-holes. So My teacher Tracy Cox @ Inay Design Studios opened the door...now I can't close it. I look forward to making new friends Hi Grant
Also I do enjoy sharing knowledge for the other obsessed gear heads.
I will not do a bolt neck as of yet.

Hi Glenn, I echo your sentiments on Mesa amps.
My Mesa F30 has been my favorite small amp since I got it years ago.

Did you find that there was a learning curve that was steeper than usual to dial in? I have heard this from others.

Y'know...I've sometimes thought a semi-hollow Flying V with F-holes would be cool.

Of course, it would need a trem. A Kahler would probably be better for that than a Floyd.

I'm not in the market, right now. It's just a thought.

A semi hollow V with F holes. 2 F V. Cool!!!

Not really, it's just so easy to get carried away with the gain with these.
Those singing sustained violin like leads sound like mud when pummeled in a chord.
Mesa's are really under appreciated for they're clean tones.

Line 6 Spydervalve... Now there's was amp with a learning curve.
The manual is 1/4" thick.
