IMG_8246.JPG i have been playing guitar for a long time. I take calculus for my nails and bones. That doesn't seem to cut some weeks. A long time ago a very old bass player said out of the blue, kid do you want to play for a long time? The guy was very very big and had an ankle bracelet on from the jail. I said yep, he told me to put clear nail polish on my picking fingers. I started doing that and it helped more lately.
Last Friday night I lost my nail polish, my fingers were hurting from from playing all week. My nail are scraped thin. Even washing my hands in hot water hurt. Tia gave me her red nail polish and with no choice I let her put it on. I enjoyed the human attention. Well I forgot all about that and went on with life. I noticed it lunch time Monday and that was the reason for the funny looks. That remover stuff can burn like hell so I just started to smile and wink at some of the hot guys. It's still on and I am well adjusted but I like it. Feel sexy YES, and beautiful sure. I'll go back to the clear this weekend and be a wall flower. You men use nail polish? I'm looking into aycric nail.

Below my paw is a treble boost that works great. No knob or switch, it's on and is a 9 volt only.IMG_8230.JPG

Have your sets included many Shania Twain covers, Kev?:rolleyes:
What amps are you mainly gigging now, I recall you preferred the Silkyn before it suffered a stroke.

I wish I could play often enough to shout "I've got blisters on me fingers!"
I'm not a drummer though.

I'm playing tonight and I ain't got no clear polish. My third favorite babe did my toenails when I passed out. I feel violated and she is looking forward to pay for it as soon as the rubber sheets arrive. Oh well I go with gold nails.

You should arm your finger nails for speed shredding on your guitars Kevy Paully Woggy.:)

I have been using my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe when I can get a moose to carry it for me. I have been walking with a cain or a crutch cain for many years. I can't balance things on steps. When I get no help I take my 15 watt Monoprice amp. I upgraded it and put a green back in it and real Seiman made in Germany tubes. It is really loud and louder than the Vox AC 15 I sold not to long ago. The Silkyn is all a part and on the list. The Silkyn is now a some day thing and has become an auxiliary work bench and end table when I have guesses in my play pen.

Gold nails you say? Watch out for Goldmember.

I can't use finger picks, I play some songs and finger picking is how it was written. My Ovation has 10s on it and they pretty tuff for me. The Martin has number 12 titanium strings on it. They went stone dead in less than a week. A set cost $42.00 per set, the sales campaign made it sound like these things will save you. What garbage like most all Martin strings. My nails got chewed up and became pain full. Some pain can be sexy but not this unless you like to play with fan blades. A coating of 3/32s of nail will give you the the cover you need to wack a song off.
