So this is how it came to be

I have had 11 Domestic vehicles new in my life, Ford, GM, Chrysler always back to the shop for repairs never again and one van with a blown engine at 74,000KMS Out of that mix, guys kept telling me at work to buy a Foreign make, I finally woke up and listened to them, I started with my first Hyundai Santa Fe in 2010 never looked back then 2014 and now a 2019, they have never been back to the shop except normal tire rotation, oil changes, brake inspections.

You couldn't pay me to buy another domestic vehicle from the big 3.

Since 1970 I’ve had a little bit of everything. Dodge (2) and Ford (1). A few Chevy’s including the 77 Vette currently sitting in the garage. A couple Buicks. Couple Olds. AMC (1). Toyota and Honda (1) each. I guess I’m sort of a Chevy guy. At least when it comes to hot cars and racing type stuff.

If you like Fords.

Indeed....
That's my attitude towards cars, in general. A long time ago I was a real Chevy guy....then I became a real Oldsmobile guy....now, I'm not any sort of a "guy".

My main concerns now are dependability and fuel efficiency. I have no real strong attachments to a label.

I'm a V8, Stick-Shift, Good-Handling guy with a penchant for ridiculously low rear end gears.

20 years of driving Ford police vehicles realky impressed me.

I hate Fords. There’s something about the plastic they use in the interiors, and the stench of it “out gassing.” I can’t drive them. My father in law had a T-Bird and an F-150, and I couldn’t stand to be in them.

I’m curious of what will happen when my employer take my Jeep Cherokee service vehicle, and replaces it with a Ford Explorer sometime later in the year. Will I have to drive with the windows open year round?
