Never ends does it..the things we obsess over..2 schools of thought..with car work over the winter. Put it on jack stands or leave the suspension sprung?
The thought is flat spot on tire or not leaving some tension on suspension. I did Put the jack stands on all 4 currently cause working all over the car at this point. On musical side we are practicing as a band once a week , bass player & 2nd guitar to add yet

Got my Vette on four stands. Idea being I plan on crawling under it to work on exhaust.
I never knew there was so much debate over it when i started researching. I get the tire flat spot possibility & the suspension situation. My conclusion is to get the motor in & drive it. Getting excited now i had time to go over it, its lite weight & going to be on 400 hp 475 torque the first quick top end build. Then next year over winter full build 800 hp range. Plan on driving to Maple Grove raceway & driving home,No trailer queen running on Antique tags

Not too worried about flat spots or suspension. Flats spots will roll out a few mile down the road. I’ve noticed if my Civic sits more than a few day between drives I get a thump thump for a few miles. It always goes away.

But I won’t go anywhere near one of my cars if it’s jacked up without putting a Jack stand or two under it. Especially if I’m pulling a wheel. Just ain’t safe.

Oh yes be safe, i saw someone crushed under a jack fail. I think from reading the debates..maybe the older bias plys seemed to stay flat spotted years ago

Jackstand...shmackstand.

Be a real man...use cinder blocks!
about 1993 the garages i had my cars in. In parking lot a guy had an older Toyota up on cinder blocks, they crumbed..he was crushed to death. It was one of those things you saw earlier in the day and just wondered if it was safe. he had helpers around then but tried to put tranny in himself & they crumbled..crushed him...actually report said it suffocated him from the weight.. oh man sad

Yes you get flat spots but they work themselves out after a day or so of driving.
I store my Mustang from October to mid April and I have yet to have an issue. The tires will have that flat spot but within a day or two. It’s gone.
