I saw this as I opened up youtube first thing this AM. Curious to hear thoughts from you guys.
HA, I got my first SG in 2012, and just afterwards joined the Everything SG forum. That guitar is pure Norlin era 1989 with 3 knobs and Bill Lawrence circuit board pups.Of course you need an SG. I tend to play middle position on my G400 almost exclusively. Just like the tone and adjust-ability it affords.
Love mine.G400
Like you. Bought the G400 sometime mid-late 200? and promptly joined ETSG. Best I can tell it's maybe 2006 guitar. The only guitar I own that's lighter than the G400 is my Ovation at a touch over 4lbs.HA, I got my first SG in 2012, and just afterwards joined the Everything SG forum. Over the next 8 or so years, I added 3 more SG's and dig each one. They are so light plus the way each neck fits me just right says a lot for a guitar I liked growing up, but only had a brief chance to play one that my friend owned around 1982 when we were in High School
I went for the SG style guitar since just about everyone I was on worship team with had a Strat and I wanted something different. Figured if it was good enough for Angus and this guy name Iommi, it would be good enough for me. And at the time a Gibson was out of my price range, so a used Epi was going to have to do.My next guitar will be an SG, I'm shopping versions currently.

As most of you know here in TTR, I did finally a few years ago break down and buy a Strat. End of the day, I wish I'd have bought one sooner.I went for the SG style guitar since just about everyone I was on worship team with had a Strat and I wanted something different. HAHA I got lucky with 3 of my Gibson SG's being of affordable and reasonable price compared to say my '79 Les Paul in my profile pic. In saying that, my Epiphone LP started out as affordable when I got it in 2012, But, with mods I made to it, it got up over the cost of my Gibson SG's. It is a ripper now, but even before the mods, it was quite capable of a player that cost me maybe under $400 out the door after taxes 13 years ago.I went for the SG style guitar since just about everyone I was on worship team with had a Strat and I wanted something different. HAHA, Tell gball about that story. he gave me some surprises over the Summer in that regard. As most of you know here in TTR, I did finally a few years ago break down and buy a Strat. End of the day, I wish I'd have bought one sooner.
Nice guitar.Curious to hear thoughts from you guys.
I know how you can fix that.I currently have a Gibson SG Special from 2009 in almost pristine condition but I don't give it the attention it deserves.
