Sara's Smile - RVA

sounds great man....so you spliced it together?
Thanks!
I just recorded 2 tracks. First rhythm, then I recorded lead to my rhythm on a second track. The program Studio One puts them together into one song

Nice tones. The timing thing is really tricky. I find I can't really manage it with just instruments. I like to record a click track first to get the timing right, and have that playing during all the overlays. I can delete it at the end.

Thank you. I agree about the timing and that a metronome is always a valuable tool. I played tbe actual track on my phone when I cut the rhythm, and then improvised the lead to my rhythm. Despite the medium, I try more to see if I could survive in a live band setting than to lay down a more polished studio track. I may try the refined method next.

A band setting is another thing entirely - totally different to playing to a backing track. You all listen to each other and everybody is constantly adjusting. It's way easier to stay in time with a band.

Makes semse. I really need to get out more!

Real nice. I think it's quite enjoyable. Some tasty riffs in there. Comfortable setting, dim the lights, taste of wine......life is good.
And, my wife likes it too.

Unless the drummer sucks .....buwahahaha

I thoroughly enjoyed the full 3:08 min and suspect I'll never be half as good as you are now.
While I couldn't pick a problem I will remember DonP's comments if I ever get around to recording.
Thanks to both of you :-)
