Royce Telecaster

Plays like BUTTA!

Sounds all Telecaster-ie and bult like a tank--- I have fondled it......I like it .....also like that black face amp head up top there ;)
The Blue is Better bass dont suck either

I'd like to stick an ashtray cover on the bridge. Not sure if it'd fit thought. The bridge plate does have 4 clip spots (2 each side).

Nice looking Tele, Owegi! Is it an ash or alder body?

The body is made from the finest quality plyboard as far as I can tell

The outside of the body looks like very nice wood, but when you pick guard off and look inside it's pretty easy to tell it's plyboard. You'd never know looking at it, playing it, or listening to it. The resonance, sound, etc, is great unplugged. Plugged in it sounds great on the neck and bridge pickups individually at the moment, but the middle neck/bridge combo sounds kind of weak. When I change the strings I've gotta check the pickup for electrical/magnetic phase/polarity and double check how it's wired, etc. No biggy. I imagine the finish used on it contains only the finest hazardous materials - lol. The neck is very nice and is for the most part a tele neck made in Japan many moons ago. Some in the future I'll probably yank the frets and put new ones in, cut a bone nut etc.

But, for now it's in the enjoy, tweak, no rush, I'll get around to it some time, stage.

And, I pretty much play it everyday when ever I'm hanging on the couch watching old sci-fi flicks and other great oldie shows on MeTV :D

By the way, tonight is Sci-Fi Saturday Night on MeTV and yup, the tele is leaning against the couch as I spend a few minutes here in The Tone Rooms :celebrate2:

I can attest --this Tele plays awesome--and feels as good as any I have played.
