Today was a rare occasion in that we got a big early out at work due to wrapping up and plus a big snowstorm that rolled thru, so i got to come home early.

Channel surfing and nothing else to do, i came across AXSTV and they were showing the Rolling Stones concert, Havana Moon, which was filmed on March 25, 2016. What was incredible about this concert is it marked the first time since the rise of Fidel Castro, that a foreign rock band was allowed to play in the nation of Cuba. The government paid for the concert, free to its citizens in an open air setting of roughly 500,000 rabid Cuban fans who had never gotten to see a rock show in person and rarely even gotten to hear the music due to decades of national oppression of free media, except thru illegal means. Mick Jagger in perfect Spanish, told the roarin crowd " The times really are indeed changing"

You quickly forget how great we have it in the Western world and what we take for granted, something as simple as music. There are still places on this earth where archaic rules and ignorant oppressive governments stifle even the most simple pleasures in life unfortunately. But true to its rebellious nature, rock n roll is still breaking barriers 70+ years later and can unite even the most unlikely people!

That's just the coolest f$#king thing about music, especially Rock

Times they are a changin' is right.
Enjoy it while you can before it gets cancelled.

Saw the Stones only once in 2015 with my wife and her Uncle Doug.
Great times before the COVID-19 took him.

Very sorry to hear of your loss, especially due to those circumstances man. Thats terrible.

I myself saw the Stones my one and only time on the same tour you did in 2015 at Pittsburgh however!

I really like the music of the song one of my favs to play.

I've watched that concert a couple of times this winter and really enjoy it. Tough to do much else with a cat that won't stay off of me. We do have life pretty easy here. I hope live music does come back soon.
