RIP Tom Verlaine

The man who talked Hilly Kristal into booking some young bands who were not Country, Blue Grass, or Blues at CBGB's passed away today. He was an incredible musician. I saw the Television Reunion tour in 2004, and they blew my mind. Both Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd were on top of their games, and played well over two hours. I wish I had the opportunity to see them earlier, but glad I saw them when I did.

Damn, have not heard any of the songs in a long time. Listening to some of this album just now I hear so many bands that came later, true pioneers.
