I said I would continue posts about my lifelong buddy who supposedly killed himself in a PA Lake near York

As I posted previously here: Who The heck does he think he is? One of the most perfect songs ever written, ruined!

I am sad to say, as of yesterday 12/18/2020, I learned of the passing of one of my longest and dearest friends. The news possibly could have been less awful had it turned out to be something like he had Covid, or a heart attack, cancer, or car accident, but when I was only told he had passed, I did my own research while waiting to hear any details.

When I googled my buddy, I found several stories that go like this. I cleaned up ( censored) some of the details to basically give the gist of the story without making private details out there for the whole world to see in here. Although it was a publicized story, I just feel better this way.

Man missing for three weeks found dead in Lake XXXXX

A man missing for three weeks was found dead by park rangers Saturday morning at a Pennsylvania Lake , according to the York County Coroner's Office.

( My Friend) , 56, of North Hopewell Township, was pronounced dead at 10:09 a.m. Saturday on the shoreline at Lake xxxxx, in Springfield Township.

( My Friend's) death was ruled a suicide, according to a news release.

Several water, air and K-9 teams initially searched for ( my friend) , who was first reported missing on Nov. 17.

Blue Hyundai Accent with New York plates was found in the Lake's parking lot on Nov. 17, and ( my friend) was last seen there at 9:38 p.m. that night, police have said.

The lot is near the Lake boat launch, police said.

( My friend's) body was found by park rangers, the coroner said in a news release.

There will be no autopsy.

Thanks to all my brothers here for your condolences. As of my learning of the story, Police do not suspect foul play but ruled it suicide.

Wish there was some way to ease your pain brotha.

Thanks again, steve. I am mostly ok unless I either see the news photo they posted of his face, or I re- see it in my mind.
I almost feel as if I lost my arm or something. HE was one of the smartest, well read, knowledgeable about so many things type of guy, I could just hang with, or shoot the SH, play with our guns, re load ammo, have cookouts or even take in my Favorite MUSIC festivals of all time with. At my initiating the idea, we rolled to Latrobe those 2 summer days in 2000 and 2001.
Rolling Rock Town Fairs 1 and 2.0 already were seared in my mind, now they will have even more meaning.

So sorry Chilli about passing of your friend, i wish i could say or do something that would make you feel better.....

it is really hard when you lose loved one and always leaves the void, which never can be filled.

suicide is really hard to accept, because they are hurting and you dont know till its too late.Usually people hide their pain and saddens behind smile,jokes.... but inside they are hurting....

Cherish the memory you shared with him, think of good time you had together and keep his memory alive, thats all you can do my brother.
My sincere condolences brother,we are here if you want to talk or anything...

cheers

Sounds like you guys had some GREAT TIMES Mark.

Yes we did, Adrian.

Believe it or not, for that first Latrobe show, Scott drove us up in his Bronco but left the top off at his house.
We left Friday evening before the show and like 2 rebels, we pulled his truck into a field of standing corn and slept under the stars with barely anything to cover us from the chill and dampness of the night. I was so cold LOL.

The next day it was so hot, I remember saying, MAN we went from Freezing to Roasting, and then LOL back to freezing by the time we got back to York county and his house to sleep.

The next day we got the show on Pay per view to enjoy it again. Only the bastards cut out some bands and only played parts of the song lists of some of the bands featured.
