RIP Jimmy Carter. You are at peace and reunited with the love of your life Rosalynn.

We can debate his effectiveness as President. But his legacy won’t be his time in office but will be what he did after he was President. Way too many things to try and list here…. But he and Rosalynn together were the true definition of what it means to serve. We can all benefit from the examples they gave us.

Jimmy was a kind, soft spoken, hard working, honest man.
He was a peanut farmer who became President of the United States.
Quite the remarkable man, who lived an equally remarkable life.

He was a class act. Probably the only politician in all of history to be able to actually walk his talk. If you haven’t seen the documentary “Rock and Roll President”, it’s definitely worth seeing.

Whatever anyone thinks of his presidency or politics, there’s little denying his caring for humanity. He arguably had the greatest post-presidency and certainly did all he could to leave the world a little better off. RIP.

Heard someone say once that he was too nice a guy to be president. I think there's some truth in that.

Jimmy was a true, gentle soul. His humanitarian work can never be overstated. Until he was no longer able to walk, the man would build houses for the needy. Name one ex president who did 1/10th of the goodwill he did. I'll wait

As a non-American, even I can see what sort of man President Carter was. It's just a pity that the US doesn't have more people like him running for POTUS.

Yep. I’ve voted for several presidents since I started voting in 1972. Some have been good at the job and some others not so much. But not one of them has been a better human being than Jimmy. He wins in that department…. No contest.
