RIP - Graeme Edge

Graeme Edge, founder and drummer of The Moody Blues, died yesterday at 80 years old.
I can't say I was ever a giant Moody Blues fan, but Knights In White Satin is an outstanding piece of Prog Rock!
RIP Graeme!

I was never a Moody Blues fan, but I recall the song "The Voice" was played almost every hour on KBOS Tulare, California...

Since I was a little kid I loved the Moody Blues.
I think I must have seen at least 5 Moody Blues concerts.
Every time they played over the years they were better. It was a most excellent sound for a live concert.
I would have gone to see them play again if I had the chance.
That is one band I will miss seeing, it was a good run for all those many years.
Sad that it's over now.

The Moody Blues were a lot like Hawkwind. Once you strip away Ray Thomas’s flute and Michael Pinder’s keys and Mellotron, you had an amazing power trio with Edge, Lodge, and Hayward. They could really belt out some rockers as well as very atmospheric music with a wide range of dynamics.
