Don't know what is intended by the post "OBE"?
I'm no expert but understand all 4 Beatles received MBE's in 1965.
I have heard that in 2000 George Harrison refused nomination for an OBE, taking it as an insult as Paul McCartney was knighted in 1997.
Nice that finally the remaining two have received equal honours.

I bet all the British rockers have been knighted...even the new ones. It's the only way the Royal Family can stay in business and keep their rich welfare money rolling in. BTW...congrats on Ringo getting his knighthood...he certainly was overdue. The Beatles are probably still Britain's most popular band worldwide to this day and no one can touch them.
