R.I.P. Walter Becker...

Very sorry to hear of this.
I know he was having problems, but this is very sad news.

No way. That's terrible.
I was at a wedding yesterday and heard a steely Dan song....I was thinking how long it's been since I played their music, because it's great.

Very sad, RIP Walter

Another iconic rock music figure gone....
R.I.P.
I'm not a huge fan but I dig them some.
I learned something new today, the band named after a sex toy....

To early ------ just too early--- man thats less than 20 years away for me --- and ---well frankly I aint done poop --- or left a legacy--- or played the Hollywood Bowl...or owned EVERY guitar or flipped off the Pope --- (The one from Grenwich Village not the real guy with the funny hat) .....my mass murder count is not even to a John Wayne Gacy level yet--- and Prostitutes are getting harder to come by (like what I did there????) ----

Makes a fella think ----- I need to get busy and stop dicking around on guitar forums----- oh wait--- its raining---- I'll accomplish something tomorrow---

Saw Steely Dan for the first time over a year ago. The best part of the show was when Steely Dan did some extended version of a song, the title escapes me right now, and while the band was providing some quiet background music, Walter Becker started telling a funny story along with all these crazy and funny thoughts. I never expected this from him. I was almost in tears from laughing. What a great show of musicianship. I can't believe Walter Becker has moved on... R.I.P. Walter
