PRS amp Designer, Doug Sewell

Interesting. Sounds pretty good in the clip.

I’ve really wanted to like PRS amps in the past. We have a local pusher so I’ve tried them all out, but there has just been something “not quite” about them to me. Archons are fizzy, all the others really sterile/clinical sounding. Maybe this one’s the charm. Its got the right wattage and size.
 
I think the PRS MT-15 sounds good, too. But it seems like every demo video I've seen of it, the amp is plugged into a 4x12 cab. My 6 watt Chihuahua amp would sound huge plugged into a 4x12 cab. I'm sure if I take the time for a search, I might find a demo video of this amp plugged into a 1x12 cab. This would make more sense for a guitarist looking to keep his rig compact and light.

On the other hand, if I didn't have other guitar and amp projects waiting to be completed, I would seriously be considering in purchasing an MT-15. Or.... a Mesa Mark 5-25... :hide:

My Mark 5:25 is the best amp I have ever owned, regardless of price (it's far from the most expensive). It's the only piece of gear that I have that isn't negotiable, and it works as well through 1x12's (and even a 1x8 that I have) as it does through my 4x12.

Oh, by the way, the built-in CabClone is freaking revelatory. Sounds as close to running through an actual cabinet as makes no difference, both for recording and through a good set of cans.
