Another problem child... an old Isana, made in my vicinity, "Elvis Presley model" - the guitar he used at his time in Germany. But the cheap version with the laminated top.
I bought it unplayable a while ago, and just gave it a fret job, a bridge, new tuners and some strings:

Here its major problem (it also has a broken heel, not nicely repaired but apparently stable):

and here from within - note the bass bar half off:

Well, she sings again. Louder than before, and she definitely likes broce wound strings (.011 TI Half Rounds, that golden tone looks cool on the red):

The bridge is still preliminarily made of beech and stained black. She'll get a new one with bone saddle as soon as i know she's stable.

That looks nice Bea. So this Beech is a type of wood i take it so why no bone saddle routed into the beech ? maybe beech is not a type of wood.

Beech is a european kind of wood. The most abundant one in germany. And it does not have a good reputation as a tone wood. Here is a picture - a typical impression from our forests...

I did not add a bone saddle just because that bridge is a testing bridge to determine the actually necessary string height. As soon as a know if the guitar does not settle any further i'll make a new one - with a bone saddle, and more thoroughly compensated.
