I will start mine by saying my greatest enjoyment from musical performances came from some really great and enthusiastic bands in 2 consecutive years of the Rolling Rock Town Fair when it was actually held at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds in Latrobe Pa where the beer is from.

The lineups were insane in my mind and I could not have asked for more for my money. I am thinking I have the right order of performers in 2001. I can't seem to remember if Staind, Deftones then Incubus, or if it was Staind, Incubus then Deftones.

I can still remember my friend Scott and I driving out in his Ford Bronco without the top on it and when we almost got to Latrobe, we off roaded it into a corn field and slept under the stars without so much as a top on the truck or a blanket, coat or anything to stay warm with. I think I found some odd kind of thin cover in the truck, probably just enough to mostly keep dew off of us as we shivered and tossed and turned to stay warm. The irony is by the time the 2nd or 3rd band was on it was so hot in the crowd there were fire hose type sprays coming off the stage into the crowd if one were lucky to be close enough to get sprayed. In my case, I seem to remember when a hot chick up on some guy's shoulders got her shirt nice and wet, and me jamming myself close enough to get within range as she wrung her shirt over top of herself and I hoped to get some of the remnant of droplets to somewhat cool myself off.

The heat was intense, then the fun part came after sundown as we headed home 2+ hours to York County Pa once again in the Topless Bronco under the chilly night air but this time radiating the sun's heat off our arms legs and faces.

I couldn't find a live clip from Rolling Rock for Incubus so here is one of my favorite tunes from that show.
I also had the best Thank You ever after their set was over. Ya see I am all of 5'9 1/2 so I know how tuff it is to see over tall people in a ground level point of view like in the crowd at the festival. I noticed this sweet girl who was all of 5 feet tall so I asked if she'd like to get on my shoulders to see the band.

After the set, she thanked me by saying I made her day as Incubus was the only band she came to see and she could actually see them.

While not at the RR TF, here is a clip from the band LIVE that was there, I just can't get any footage on you tube of their part in the show. Trust me, it was a better showing than here at Germany

One of my other most memorable concerts I never expected the surprise I would be able to partake of was at a Tonic, Our Lady Peace and Collective Soul concert here in Baltimore Summer of 2017.

In between the Our Lady and Collective sets, a guy comes up to me and my blind friend as we sat stage middle about 150 rows back or so, and asks if we'd like to go sit in the front row. I asked if he was serious ad he whips out 2 sheets of paper with front row on em and says he has to go but he'll lead us up there.

Needless to say it was great seeing them in front row and Dean Roland reaches down and hands me his pick midway thru a song.
I am carrying it in my wallet next to my driver's license. My first real concert souvenir from the band itself.

I almost had a pick a roadie tried handing me after the WHO show in 1982 but some rude person grabbed it away when it was clearly intended for me. Thanks anyway, mr Roadie.

Westmorland Fairgrounds?
General Westmorland?
I met him.

Back in the mid 60's we even in Australia couldn't turn the TV on without hearing his name.
I don't know if he was a good or bad man but he sure failed by underestimated his enemy.

Not a Clue if it was named after Gen West.

But I met Johhny Unitas once and he actually initiated the conversation with me. One day we happened to cross paths at a gas station of all places. I never forget how gracious that man was to even give me his concern over my well being when he noticed I was laboring to walk and said, " Boy, it sure looks like your back is really bothering you." Then I said, " it's that noticable, huh?" He said, " Yeah, you are too young to have a bad back"

He was well reputed for being quite a generous and thoughtful man. He also would often retort how if someone said they were honored to meet him, he would say, it was he whose honor it was to meet, THEM.

I've been to more concerts/shows then I can remember. They were mostly awesome, front row for Judas Priest, last tour for Black Sabbath, AC/DC dream come true, back stage for David lee Roth.....

However, a few years ago I decided to take a train to NYC, on a Monday night, to see Joe Satriani. I didn't know what to expect of the venue. I peeked in and saw how small it was, and then I was escorted to my seat. I couldn't believe how close I was to the man. I was in my glory.

I went with my wife, it was snowing, and Satch rocked!!!! I took pictures, and Joe actually walked over to pose. Wow. Such a memorable show. Saw the encore, ran, caught the last train out. Yeeee Haaaa!!

Those files where sealed according to Cuyahoga County per the Ohio Revised Code section 2953.31 and I am not at liberty to speak of the events further.......
no video or footage of the alleged "incident" exists.

I can say it was a foogin blast ...........that is all.

Couldn't be The Who, I am pretty sure that concert was nixed when people got trampled.
