I'm looking to buy a 15 watts amp for Xmas and tomorrow morning I'm heading out to Montreal to check out 3 amps a guy has to show me, he didn't want to tell me what they are but he says I'll be impressed :)
He owns a Montreal North recording studio and seems to have an impressive collection.
Suspense... more tomorrow

Don’t remember if you gig or not. And pretty sure I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know. In a bedroom setting like I play in, 15w is plenty loud. The 20w Traynor will rattle windows if I turn it up. Heck. Even the 5w Fender I have will have Mrs. IbLive suggesting I’m too loud. :pound-hand:

Which would be why I practice thru headphones.

Update : Got to try 3 amps.

1979 Fender princeton reverb

2006 Fender Princeton Recording amp

1965 Fender Band Master BF amp

The 1979 Princeton was ok, clean and getting dirty at around 7 and felt powerful.

The 2006 Princeton recording was good and sounded more round than the previous and I loved the attenuator.

The 1965 Band Master was awesome and was a clean beast with great classic rock tones and more tweakable tonality than both aforementioned.

Gave a deposit on the Band Master and bringing it home next monday , it'll be the perfect fit for my 1967 Band master 2x12 cab I already had .

Few pics (not mine but same condition) mine has the back panel.
