You must be really cranking on the volume here. I could barely hear your pounding drummer over you. Life is good... :dood:This is how she sounds with a mxr 10 band eq added into the equation and power is in the middle position, every thing else is the same as above. Cheers Mitch
He is my grandson and he is The one who determines my volume, the origin would have been on full power and the mosfet was following orders from the origin set at about 3-4 and gain 7-8, but not ear fatiguing loud he hits hard and I have to stay away from the cymbals. Yea bro I do like what the origin brings to the party, it has certainly scratched the gas for the 1987, that I have been jonesing for since I have picked up the guitar again. CheersGood stuff, Mitch - you've found a way to get driven sounds without ramping up the volume. The tilt knob is very versatile on this amp.
With the new speaker and the SG plugged in to drive it a bit harder, it's easy to get really nice sounds.
I'll probably pick up either an OCD or Laney treble booster too although I'm still experimenting with the pedals I have to get the best sounds I like. Funnily enough, not really in this amps range, but for a band I've got going, I want a tighter bassier sound which is where the OCD comes in; I'm hoping I can get something close, maybe fuzzier, with my Katzinkonig, but haven't found it yet.
