I sat across the aisle from him on a flight from Atlanta to Tampa when I was going home on leave once when I was in the military. We made eye contact and nodded, but I didn't speak to him. He was talking to a guy he was with and I was surprised at the time to learn that he was just a regular guy. He was a lot bigger and taller than I expected tho, he was huge.
