...and it's completely renewed my interest and drive to learn! I've played every day since I got it!

I can't say yet that it's the best I've ever owned, but it's damn close if not. I do think I like it better
than any other. I didn't fondle it for a couple of days and then go on a search for the next great thing.

I'm really pleased with everything about this guitar. It is pure quality. Bo bad QC, no corners cut. You
can tell a lot of pride goes into these!

My calluses are almost back and I'm having fun again!
 
Chris, whenever I feel low on confidence, I put on some of my all time heroes and work on learning their stuff.
For me, Leslie West, Alex Lifeson, Nugent, Gilmour, Blackmore, EVH all were my first introductions to the guitar gods.

You can do it.
Here is a clip from our historic venue known as the Capitol Center, Largo/Landover Md. 1975. Probably 30 minutes from where your PRS was made.

 
Chris, I was trying to think of an answer to your question in your other thread about online lessons.

I drew a blank until today when I remembered a Scandanavian Canadian friend of mine, Robert Renman.
I learned of him when I bought my Squier Classic Vibe Tele. He had one too and did a demo. Then I learned of his online classes.

Here is one, and I will post others at your other " Lesson" thread.

Really awesome sir. Same kinda happened when I got my blue Strat a couple years ago. Had problems putting it down. The other kids all started to get jealous.

Great to hear! That is part of what bonding with an instrument does.

Now you can focus on unlocking hidden magic of the guitar. I always think about the potential in an instrument which will be accessible to me at each new stage of ability.

Congratulations, Chris!!!!

This is how I feel - everyday - about playing music in general. I'm excited to wake up, have coffee and start playing. My 2021 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top is simply a joy to play. No issues, No faults. I don't reall y worry about taking a tuner with me, because the guitar is always in tune.

My custom DoubleNeck is also a guitar that has never given me problems. I suppose it's because of the amount of hand-assembly and fitting, polishing, etc., that so much of me has gone into it, that I have bonded with it. Even though people have told me that having the 'Von Herndon' name on my gear is kinda lame, to me, there's a tremendous amount of pride that goes into something before I'm comfortable enough to put the olde family name on it.

Same with my YellowStrat that started as a bare husk, from @SG John. True, i suppose it's stupid (as I've been told) to put a $400.00 custom neck on a multi-ply, 1984 Stratocaster body, but it plays and preforms flawlessly under all conditions and the tremolo stays in perfect tune.

If you can find a guitar that gives you this kind of feeling, you are very, very fortunate indeed!!!!!!

Every morning, I get up excited to learn some new lick, phrasing, or even a complete song.

I really believe it is. Up to now it's been an acquisition game with me. Get stuff, get more stuff, get better stuff, sell stuff...and on and on.

I need to stop looking for the next great thing and spend my time playing and learning. That is my New Year's resolution. Play more and shop less...
