A few years ago mama bought a SUV to replace her worn out Toyota Solara. We aren’t in the market for anything right now. Fossil fuel powered, hybrid or EV.

That said. If we do move from NE Illinois to warmer climates and a long distance drive is to the grocery store or a day at the beach. A hybrid or EV would probably be considered. But that nowhere in the near future. Said SUV still has a fair amount of payments left.

I thought about an EV grocery getter when I put 36 solar panels on my previous house in 2008. That thought has long disappeared in our new place.

Next one will be hybrid as a second vehicle. Why not? Better gas mileage, lots of zip....

I’ve had my Subaru XV Crosstrek hybrid since 2014. The hybrid system is secondary, and a booster, to the gas engine.

I only drive 15+ year old beaters that I can buy for a couple of grand or less. That leaves me off of the list.

I'm with you John Just got a used beater with a heater for winter $1.000 the only thing it needs is studded snow tires
rather have a bunch of nice guitars and amps than some car that just looses value.
