I grew up in a small town right next door to Parry Sound the Home of the Great Bobby Orr. I know Bobby and his Brother Ronnie, I also knew their Mother who has now passed on. Bobby's Mother used to work in the Brunswick Hotel in downtown . She was a waitress in the coffee shop. My Dad used to take me there for fries, my Dad of course had Coffee. She used to wait on us. Don you wont guess who taught me how to swim? Do you remember a Lawyer who used to work for the NHL Players? He was a Lifeguard at lake Stuart in the Summers while he was attending the University of Toronto, my Father knew him well. Know who he is? His name is Allan Eagleson!! He taught me how to swim he was a High Profile lawyer for NHL. Don't mention his name around Bobby!! As you are probably aware of the reasons.

Well waiting for the clock to hit 8 bells , that's the countdown to the Russia/ Canada game.

Do remember the name Roger Crozier? Give you a tip he was a goal tender. One of the teams he played for was Detroit Red Wings. Roger used to come to visit my friends Father from time to time. He was a great guy , he used to play hockey with us kids in the lumber yard. Man the good old days were very good for me growing up in a small Northern Ontario town.
