Now Twice as Well Hung as I was a couple of days ago...

Do you make straps slightly over-length? Tall guys playing Vs and Firebirds can never seem to find a long enough strap.
Both of the straps that I’ve received are plenty long for my 6’1” ....in fact they have plenty of room for longer adjustment. Most of my straps are nearly set to their full length, but these two are able to go much longer than I need.

I was just admiring this one, and saw the "Bigger Guy" mentioned. I think that the couple previous ones I looked at didn't have a length listed.

Have a look at the pictures of my two, each attached to the D string tuning post of a Gibson SG in a stand, hanging from the neck....

Both main strap bodies are about ten inches longer than the SG, and the adjustable tail pieces of each can be let out about ten to twelve inches further than they are now. I can get my V to hang at my knees if I want. ;)

Also curious about the leather strap locks. I couldn't find them on your website. (edit** Found the strap locks.)

Cheers.
Hey sorry, was enjoying the day my friend!

In general my ladder style will go to about 56 -58". Most factory manufacts go to about 52" max. I delivered a pair of custom straps last week, no lie, maxed out to 72 and 74" but that's samsquantch long. Most 6 foot 2 guys are on the 54-55ish zone with a rock 'n roller hang.
Measure hole to hole, not end to end. That Allman strap I expect goes around 60" but custom length is fully available no extra.

Thanks. Yeah, I need to measure again. Since I'm 6'3", the odd shaped guitars need extra length for me. I can get a Les Paul, SG, or Strat to sit comfortably with a regular strap, providing I wave the extra inch and a half from the leather strap lock. Firebirds, Thunderbirds, Vs, etc. sit too high, and need some extra help.

Normally fellows will measure a current strap at proper length, then for custom work I aim for that to be near the middle of adjustment so there's four or five inches more, or less available. Each leather strap lock adds about 2" so in pairs they can make shorty straps workable again. It kind of drives me a little crazy to see guys on the very last loop with any strap, at least 2 loops gives you some security. I've heard all the stories about the side of that last ladder loop giving way. Had some pictures of those on photobucket before the purge
